Description
The Webster House Condominium Association Board of Directors seeks an experienced General Manager (GM) to oversee the business and operations of the condominium and support the Board in their leadership of this renowned building in Dupont Circle, Washington DC. The Webster House serves a diverse community of residents in a 182-unit, 9-story structure. Features include a rooftop pool, T Level Courtyard recreational area, laundry on each floor and a 46-space parking garage.
The General Manager reports to the Association’s Board of Directors and provides leadership and management direction on their behalf. The GM has responsibility for all aspects of management related to the business and operations of the building, including (but not limited to): maintaining reliable communications with the Board of Directors and its committees and implementing their vision; developing accessibility and trust with residents; and client relationships with outside entities such as the District of Columbia government, Fire Authority, local Police Department, Water District, and local utility companies. The GM has the duty of the day-to-day operations, legal compliance and overall oversight of the Association and staff.
Requirements
Core Competencies:
Ability to proactively communicate with the Board of Directors, on-site personnel, contractors, and individual unit owners and residents;
Ability to monitor financial performance and analyze financial statements;
Ability to identify emerging issues and effectively address them;
Ability to review, organize, and maintain administrative files, processes and procedures;
Ability to analyze reserve study results and capital project plan data, make recommendations when needed, and work with reserve analysts, engineers, the Board and others as needed to manage and maintain the capital project plan;
Skill in building and maintaining relationships with parties outside the condominium that may impact and benefit the Association;
Knowledge of community association management best practices.
Ability to use/learn all software and technology used by the Association, including BuildingLink.
Capacity for personal commitment to the Webster House community.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of experience in community association management, including high-rise building experience.
Possession of professional designation(s) (CMCA, AMS, PCAM) is preferred.
Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
