Located just 60 miles north of Atlanta, Bent Tree is a private gated community nestled in the beautiful foothills of the North Georgia mountains. Covering approximately 3,500 acres, this unique community offers numerous amenities and activities for its members and residents, such as 24-hour security, fire, and EMS, a Joe Lee designed 18-hole championship golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, two outdoor pools, 110-acre Lake Tamarack for fishing, swimming, and no-wake boating, equestrian center, hiking trails, dog park, picnic areas, clubhouse, and restaurant services.
Bent Tree Community owns and maintains all of its common properties including all amenities, approximately 55 miles of private roads, a Class I dam, and it's own private water utility which is staffed with state-licensed operators. There is an on-site Administration Building, Waste Management & Recycling Center, Wastewater Land Application System, Community Mail Center, and other maintenance and support facilities. Our Public Safety Department is staffed 24/7 with certified First Responders and Georgia State Registered Firefighters.
Bent Tree Community currently has 1,100 homes with approximately 500 buildable unimproved lots for future growth.
We have historically operated under a no-debt philosophy with an annual operating budget of $6.7 million and a capital budget of $2.5 million. We are staffed with approximately 95 full and part-time employees, dedicated to providing the best experience in Active Mountain Living.
