Connerly & Associates, Inc. is an association management company responsible for the management and day to day oversight of multiple non-profit trade associations. We have a team of specialists in legislative advocacy, communications, membership and sponsorship, accounting, and event planning.
The Administrative Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for individuals contacting our office by phone or visiting in person, so a positive, outgoing personality is essential. The individual will also work closely with other staff members, so a team attitude is very important to a successful and effective work environment.
Responsibilities include:
Answering phones and replying to member email inquiries
Inputting and updating member contact details in client databases
Contacting venues for events and summarizing venue costs and details for review by Executive Director and client
Meeting with event venues to discuss setup, menu selection, agenda, audio/visual, and other details
Ordering signs and other materials for events, and maintain sign inventory and database
Ordering awards
Scheduling webinars with presenters
Miscellaneous office duties, as needed (e.g., copying documents, ordering office supplies, receiving and distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail, etc.)
Assist other staff members, as needed, including assisting Communications Manager with social media posts and graphic design of event flyers
Assisting accounting team with mailing of invoices and contacting past due members to collect revenues
Preparing name badges for client events
Attending some events and assisting with registration and event setup
Coordination of advocacy programs
Preparing association membership directories
Occasional updating of association documents
