About Us:
Eleven Slade is a resident managed building with an excellent staff. There is a strong emphasis on fiscal responsibility, both in our day to day operations and in the constant reinvestment in improvements and upgrades to the building’s structure and grounds, mechanical plant, and technology.
Our well-constructed, well maintained ten story building has nine floors of residential housing and a basement. Plaster wall construction assures residents a great measure of peace and solitude.
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
The General Manager of the Eleven Slade Apartment Corporation will be responsible for the overall operation of the building, grounds and parking
facilities to ensure a safe, secure, comfortable and upscale lifestyle for the residents and shareholders.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a large high rise residential building
- Ability to prepare and manage an annual budget
- Knowledge and experience in the functions of the physical plant; including plumbing, heating and air conditioning; elevator operations; and fire safety systems
- Responsible for the building’s internal and external cleanliness
- Accountable for material purchases and capital expenditures
- Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and ADP payroll systems
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions of the employee staff. All of the latter in accordance with local, State and Federal labor regulations
The General Manager will oversee five (5) operating departments. These departments are:
(1) Office Administration
(2) Reception
(3) Valet
(4) Housekeeping
(5) Maintenance
- Acts in compliance with the Eleven Slade Apartment Employee Handbook
- Familiar with the Eleven Slade Apartment By-Laws, House Rules and Dog Rules
- Reports directly to the Eleven Slade Apartments Board of Directors
- Prepares and presents a monthly status report to the Board of Directors at the monthly meeting
Job Requirements:
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of management experience in a high-rise apartment, condominium, co-op, hotel or office building, or similar management experience.
Salary:
The salary is competitive with most apartment buildings in the area.
